Note-1: The VSKYLABS Guimbal Cabri G2 engine and rotor RPM values might differ from the real aircraft due to simulation limitations. These will gradually tune up as the project development plan is also including this aspect.

Note-2: Current configuration of the throttle and governor in the VSKYLABS Guimbal Cabri G2 is not allowing manual throttle management when the governor is ON. This issue will be addressed in future versions of the project.

Collective friction.................................................Released

Takeoff Procedure

  1. Apply collective pitch progressively to stabilize hover at 2 feet skid height.

  2. Adjust cyclic trim.

  3. Check engine parameters in green arcs and warning / caution lights OFF.

  4. Apply a slight forward cyclic to accelerate at a constant height.

  5. At 45 kt IAS, rotate to reach and maintain 50 kt IAS.

  6. Once climb is stabilized, adjust power as needed. Rate of climb should not exceed 500 ft/min below 100 feet in order to ease piloting in case of an engine failure.

  7. Follow take-off profile shown on Height-Velocity diagram in the manual page 5-3

Climb

  1. Prescribed climb speed is 50 kt IAS.

  2. Adjust power to obtain desired rate-of-climb. Maximum allowed power is indicated by 100% on MLI.

  3. If full throttle is reached (100 % FLOW on the MLI), the rotor speed may decrease. In this case, slightly lower the collective to recover rotor speed.

Cruise

All parameters .................................................. Green arcs

Warning and caution lights...............................................OFF

Fuel remaining.........................................................Check

Economy cruise is obtained with ..................................90% on MLI

Fast cruise is obtained with ....................................100% on MLI

Maximum endurance speed is........................................ 50 kt IAS

Best range speed is .............................................. 80 kt IAS
